Fourth Wing is a novel I would recommend for readers who are both new to reading romance as well as those who have been reading for a while. Rebecca Yarros does an amazing job of giving details that are important to developing the book's world in one's head while also not over explaining to the point of bordem. As a reader who can easily be turned off by too many details, I appreciate her writing style.

Fourth Wing itself has loveable, well-rounded characters that keep readers around to get more of them. For example, where there are moments of high tension, Yarros introduces humor through the characters' reactions and comments. This makes the heavier scenes easier to digest and gives the upcoming events more of a punch.

One of the characters I loved the most was Liam and I was deeply disappointed by his passing. It made my heart hurt more than any break up I have ever been apart of. Rebecca Yarros has a way of playing with emotions and I hope this doesn't become a theme, but considering there is a war with the venon venom going on, I highly doubt that.

At the end of the book, I love that Xaden's POV was used rather tha Violet's. I think Violet asking too many questions would have ruined Brennen's moment. His loving nature released the tension of the battle, and made Brennen's entrance come out of left field.
